Pork Chops With Orange Soy Sauce Recipe

Pork Chops With Orange Soy Sauce Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice

  • 1 tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce

  • 2 cloves minced garlic

  • 1/2 tsp. thyme leaves

  • 4 4-oz bone in pork chops, trimmed of fat

  • Salt/pepper to taste

  • 1/2 tbsp. canola oil

PREPARATION:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius)

  • Mix the orange juice, soy sauce, garlic and thyme

  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper

  • Heat oil over high heat in a large ovenproof skillet, add the pork chops and sear 1-2 min per side until browned

  • Transfer skillet to oven and bake for about 5 minutes, until just a trace of pink remains in the center

  • Transfer the pork chops to a plate and keep warm

  • Add the reserved orange-soy mixture to the skillet; cook over high heat for 3-5 minutes until sauce is reduced by half

  • Add the pork chops and any juices that have accumulated on the plate
